Research indicates that people with skin disorders can develop psychological difficulties and vice versa. Skin disorders can affect people’s coping and adjustment; on the converse, stress can also have an impact on people's skin. Importantly, scratching your skin can also make skin problems worse. Having a skin problem can also effect the family in many ways.

Dr Reena Shah is a specialist in psychodermatology. She offers psychological therapy to improve quality of life for people with skin disorders including, but not limited to:

  • Psoriasis

  • Skin picking
  • Trichotillomania
  • Hair Loss
